What We Look For In a Portuguese Tutor Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of Portuguese grammar including verb conjugation, noun gender, articles, pronouns, prepositions, and vocabulary for everyday and academic contexts, along with differences between Brazilian and European Portuguese. Ability to explain subjunctive mood, personal infinitive, and pronunciation variations while preparing students for proficiency in either Brazilian or European Portuguese variants. Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Portuguese language curricula and common challenges such as nasal vowel pronunciation, subjunctive mood usage, and navigating Brazilian versus European Portuguese differences. Adapts instruction using authentic media from Portuguese-speaking countries, grammar exercises, and conversation practice to support beginners through advanced learners seeking proficiency for academic, professional, or personal goals.
