JOB SUMMARY The Town of Prosper is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individual for the position of:
Police Lieutenant Hiring Salary Range: $132,059.20 - $141,772.80 Retirement Benefits (TMRS), 2-to-1 Match Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Effective Within the First 35 days of Employment Flex Scheduling Opportunities Tuition Reimbursement Wellness Benefits Training & Continuing Education Opportunities Qualifications: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced Peace Officer Certification
- Sixty (60) college credit hours
- A minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience at the rank of Police Sergeant, or equivalent law enforcement experience as approved by the Chief of Police
- Associate's degree in Police Science, Law Enforcement Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field highly preferred.
- Supplementation by completion of advanced law management: LEMIT, ILEA, or similar type of training ideal.
- Seven (7) years of law enforcement experience including two (2) years of police supervisory and administrative experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Possession of a valid Texas Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
- Possession of Advanced Certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
